Who we are
CareCompare.nl is an independent health insurance comparison platform for newcomers and expats in the Netherlands. We are not affiliated with any insurance company.
What we collect
We keep data collection to a minimum. When you use our comparison tool, we may collect anonymized usage data (pages visited, filters applied) to improve the experience. We do not collect personal health information. If you contact us via WhatsApp, your messages are subject to WhatsApp's own privacy policy.
Cookies
We use cookies in two categories: (1) Essential cookies: necessary for the site to function, such as remembering your language preference. These cannot be switched off. (2) Advertising cookies (optional, consent required): if you agree, we use Google AdSense to display relevant advertisements. AdSense may use cookies and device identifiers to show ads tailored to your interests, which involves Google processing data about your browsing activity. You can manage your Google ad settings at g.co/adsettings. You may withdraw your consent at any time via our cookie settings. If you do not consent, non-personalised ads may still appear.
Third parties
When you click through to an insurer's website, you leave CareCompare.nl and are subject to that insurer's privacy policy. We may receive a referral fee from insurers, but this does not affect our comparisons or recommendations. We use Google AdSense to serve advertisements. Google may act as a data processor and use cookies, device identifiers, and browsing data to serve and measure advertisements. See Google's Privacy Policy for details. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you can ask us to show, correct, or delete any personal data we have about you. You can also object to how we process it, or ask us to transfer it elsewhere. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
